at the Columbus High School Middle School Math Tournament
Aaron Summer had the TOP middle school score for AMA
Emily Grover - 2nd place
Corin Peterson - 3rd place
The combined individuals scores tied with Richards and Brookstone for 2nd place
Overall placed sixth out of 14 participating schools

Congratulations to Jack Hooper, 7th grade Magnet Student
MCSD Georgia Middle School Reader of the Year
He was honored at the International Reading Conference on May 6th in Atlanta, GA
His essay was submitted as the MCSD Reader of the Year at the state level where he competed against more than 100 others for this award.

Congratulations to Kelsey Brown, 7th grade Magnet Student
He was nominated and will be participating in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D. C. March 2nd - 7th

Congratulations to the Odyssey of the Mind Team
Won 3rd place in Spontaneous Problem Solving
at competition in Savannah, GA on March 1st

Congratulations to Mrs. Ronda Allen, Team 701 Language Arts Teacher
Winner of the National League of Junior Cotillions Best Mannered Teacher Award
Kelsey Brown wrote the winning essay about Mrs. Allen
Callie Hampton wrote a winning essay as well
There were only 3 students with winning essays and 2 were from AMA!
Way to go RAMS!

AMA PTSA won 3 awards at the Spring District Conference:  One for highest membership increase for the entire Muscogee County!, A Community Outreach Award, and a Parent Involvement Award

Congratulations to 6th grade Magnet Students Sophia Saffan and Katrina Townsend for the GA Cities Week Essay "If I Were Mayor..." contest winners:  Sophie is the State Wide Regional District 8 Winner and Katrina placed 2nd in the local contest.  Both were recognized at the Columbus City Council meeting on April 22nd
