2007 - 2008 City Champions
On Friday night, Jan. 25th, the top two seeded teams in the middle school boys division faced off for tournament champions. Richards and Arnold split the regular season championship with the teams each having a 10-2 record. After regulation it was only fitting that the score was tied 44 a piece and overtime would be needed to determine the winner. In the overtime period Arnold scored first and never lost the lead to win the championship by a score of 53-50. Jeff Blanton led the scoring for Arnold with 18. Torrion Brummitt and Courtney Jackson each chipped in 14 and 13 respectively. Jamar Sheppard and Arzayvian Smith also added to the point total.
